How can I download Instagram videos
You can keep Instagram videos on your phone through the in-app Save video option (Reels and some posts), iOS Screen Recording, Android's built-in screen recorder, or by requesting your own data export. There is no official bulk downloader for someone else's feed. Third-party sites break often and may steal logins. Videozify does not download Instagram videos— paste YouTube links or upload files you already recorded if you need format conversion or audio extraction afterward.
What "download" means on Instagram
Three different outcomes get lumped together:

Method 1: Save video (Reels and enabled posts)
When the creator allows downloads:
- Open the Reel or video post.
- Tap Share (paper plane).
- Tap Download or Save video.
- Find the clip in Photos (iOS) or Gallery (Android).
Reels saved this way usually keep the Reels watermark in the corner— that's intentional. A 30-second 1080p saved Reel often runs 8–15 MB.
If Download is missing, the uploader disabled it or it's licensed music content. Instagram blocks saving on some tracks even when video save is otherwise on.
Method 2: Screen recording (works when Download is off)
iPhone (iOS 17+):
- Settings → Control Center → add Screen Recording.
- Open the Instagram video full-screen.
- Start recording from Control Center. Turn on mic only if you need ambient audio (usually off).
- Stop from the red status bar.
- Open Photos → latest recording → Edit to trim dead air at start/end.
Android 13+: Quick Settings → Screen record → play the video → stop. Clip lands in Gallery.
Downsides: status bar icons, possible notification sounds, slightly softer text after re-encoding. A 60-second 1080p screen recording can hit 40–80 MB before trimming.

Troubleshooting

Video saved without sound — iOS screen recorder muted system audio. Long-press Screen Recording in Control Center → enable microphone off, media audio on (iOS 18: check Media Sound toggle).
Download button flashes and disappears — Music rights. Try bookmark or ask creator.
File too large after recording — Trim first 2 seconds (Control Center overlay) and last second in Photos before sharing.

Downloading someone else's video to repost or sell violates copyright and Instagram's terms unless you have permission. Personal offline reference sits in a gray area— treat other creators' work like you'd want yours treated.
