You save a video from Facebook by tapping Save video in the post menu when the creator enabled it—the clip appears under Saved in the app. For a copy on your phone's camera roll, screen-record the playback or download your own uploads through Download your information. I get this question from relatives every holiday; the answer depends on whether they want offline replay inside Facebook or an actual file. Option A — In-app save (30 seconds)
- Open the Facebook app.
- Scroll to the video.
- Tap ⋯ on the post.
- Tap Save video (bookmark icon).
- Find it: Menu ☰ → Saved → See all → Saved videos.
This does not always put the video in the Photos app. Check Share while playing—if Save Video appears, tap it. Often it doesn't on iOS 17/18.
Option B — Camera roll via screen record
- Add Screen Recording to Control Center.
