Delete a past broadcast (single VOD)
- Go to dashboard.twitch.tv.
- Content → Video Producer (or Stream Manager → Video Producer).
- Tab: Past broadcasts (or All videos).
- Find the stream by date/title.
- Click ⋯ (three dots) on the row.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the dialog—Twitch warns it's permanent.

Delete a Highlight
Highlights don't auto-expire like past broadcasts, so old Highlights pile up.

Deleting a Highlight does not restore the original past broadcast if that already expired—you're removing the saved excerpt only.
Delete an Upload
Uploaded videos (trailers, edited shows) delete the same way:
- Video Producer → Uploads.
- ⋯ → Delete.
Uploads count toward storage limits on some tiers—deleting frees space.
Delete all expired VODs at once
Twitch auto-removes past broadcasts after retention (often 7 days for standard streamers, up to 60 for Partners). You don't manually delete those—they vanish on schedule.
What you're cleaning manually:
- Highlights you no longer promote
- Past broadcasts still within the retention window
- Uploads replaced by newer versions
There's no official "delete all VODs" nuclear button in one click. Select multiple in Video Producer or delete category by category. Third-party tools claiming mass-delete often want your OAuth token—stick to the dashboard.
Delete clips (different menu)
Viewer clips and your channel clips live under Content → Clips.
- Open Clips.
- Select clip → Delete.
Clips are 5–60 seconds—not full VODs—but they linger on your channel page if you don't prune them.

- Videos tab: Entry gone.
- Direct link: "Sorry, this video is unavailable."
- Embedded players: Broken off-site.
- Google cache: May show thumbnail briefly—not a working video.
Viewers can't recover your deleted VOD. If they archived during the public window, that's their copy—not something you control.

Deleting before local backup: Happens every tax season when streamers purge and realize the one funny bit wasn't Highlighted.
Confusing Hide with Delete: Some settings hide VODs from the public tab without removing them from Producer—check you're hitting Delete, not just unpublish.
Assuming Turbo extends your VOD storage: Turbo is a viewer perk—it doesn't extend your channel's past broadcast retention as a streamer.
DMCA-related removal: Twitch may delete VODs for you after a strike. That's not the same menu—you can't "undelete" those.
After deletion: archive elsewhere
If you deleted on Twitch but kept a local MP4:
